Rules & Regulations

Guidelines for Participation in SPB Music Academy's Events & Competitions

General Rules

  • Participants must register individually for each event or competition.
  • One entry per category is allowed unless otherwise specified.
  • All participants must provide accurate personal and contact details.
  • Any misrepresentation may result in disqualification.

Age-Based Categories

  • Junior: 7 – 15 years
  • Youth: 16 – 25 years
  • Open: 26 years and above
  • Proof of age (e.g., ID card or school certificate) may be requested.

Singing Competition Rules

  • Only solo performances are accepted unless specified.
  • Background music/karaoke is optional but recommended.
  • Time limit per entry: 3 minutes max.
  • Lyrics must be respectful and free from offensive language.

Submission Guidelines

  • Submit your entry via YouTube link, Google Drive, or upload form.
  • Video must be recorded in landscape format with clear audio.
  • File name should follow: YourName_CompetitionName.mp4

Judging Criteria

  • Vocal quality and control
  • Expression and emotional delivery
  • Originality and performance clarity
  • Stage presence (for live rounds)
  • Judge’s decision is final and binding

Grounds for Disqualification

  • Plagiarism or copying someone else’s performance
  • Use of auto-tune or heavy voice editing
  • Late or incomplete submissions
  • Violation of age or category rules

Copyright & Legal

  • By submitting, you grant SPB Music Academy the right to use your entry for promotional and archival purposes.
  • Ensure you have rights to use any backing tracks or karaoke versions.
  • SPB Music Academy will not be liable for copyright infringement by participants.
